## Account

Chordzy's user settings live on your account screen. View your account via the button in the upper-right, a person icon, or on the website through [this link](/account/me). The screen has a row of tabs marked by icons, with no words on them.

| Tab icon | Heading | What it sets | In the browser |
|---|---|---|---|
| Keyboard | Instruments | Sound and volume for each MIDI keyboard | Yes |
| Headphones | Speakers | Output device and latency | No |
| Microphone | Voice | Microphone for jams | No |
| Camera | Video | Web cam for jams | No |
| Person | Your profile | Plan, coins, streak, log in and out | Yes |

The browser version of the game shows only two tabs. The other three are built into the desktop app alone. [Microphones](/help/hardware/microphones.md) and [web cams](/help/hardware/web-cams.md) walk through their tabs, and [SoundFonts](/help/synthesizers/sound-fonts.md#website-play-soundfonts-on-midi-keyboard) walks through picking a sound.

Where each setting is kept matters when you switch computers. Instrument sound and volume are saved for each install of the app. Everything you pick on the desktop-only tabs stays on the computer where you picked it.

## What the profile tab shows

The person tab greets you by username. Signed in, it also shows your coins, which buy sheet music PDFs. Below them are your minutes played today, your streak and your progress toward today's goal.

Your plan appears as **Free Plan** with Change beside it, which opens the plans. [Subscriptions](/about/subscriptions.md) explains what each one includes. Logout signs you out.

Not signed in, the tab says "Welcome, stranger..." and offers Sign Up and Login instead. Two links are there either way. **Hardware Settings** jumps to the Instruments tab, and **Contact Support** gets you to the support team.

## Passwords and deleting your account

The account screen has no place to change your email or username, and none for a password. To reset a forgotten password, press **Forgot Password?** on the app's login screen and enter your username or email. The button changes to Email Sent!, and the link in that email opens the page where you choose a new password.

There is no delete button either. To delete your account or your data, email team@chordzy.com, as the [privacy policy](/about/privacy-policy.md) says.
