Hear a short tonic cadence, then one note from a phrase in that key. Name the note as a scale degree with the buttons. Replay and Hear the key are free. Revealing the answer marks it assisted and grants no mastery credit. Twelve first answers complete a round. A stage clears at ninety percent unassisted first-answer accuracy. Speed is a description, not a countdown.

Stages move from degrees 1, 3 and 5 in C, to all seven major degrees, other keys, natural minor, then major, minor and diminished triads. Notation and note names appear after you answer. Start with the worked example.

Example: the cadence lands on C major. The next note is the fifth of the key. Press 5 (Dominant). The written name appears after the answer.
